Anybody there?

I always loved supernatural, from ghosts and ferries in early age to the ultimate question of God. I love vampires and the people with supernatural abilities; I’m also big fan of books with this theme, notably Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Anne Rice etc. Besides these themes question of existence of God has been bothering me trough my whole life. When I was younger I use to read bible in hope to find the answer, but the bible is little complicated and it does not make much sense because is very contradictory and is not scientific at all. Besides that, I don’t like the idea that there is possibility of hell where you could end up cooking though eternity. What I’m looking for is scientific research that is going to provide the answer. There are of course two sides to this scientific approach, on the one side there are authors like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens who are using evolution and churches’ misdeeds throughout history to claim that religion is bad for us. I agree with most what they’re saying considering church and bible, but this question must be outside the church. On the other side there are web sites like http://www.doesgodexist.org/ which are trying to prove that god is there trough scientific analysis. This question is very complex, and I will continue to research it, if anyone has any thoughts on this feel free to post it.
